Outriders expansion

Outriders WordSlayer is the new expansion pack to the Outriders game released by Square Enix. In this, players can pick up a new story after the main campaign of the third-person shooter game. Here, you can have an adventure in a whole new area of Enoch and face a new formidable enemy.

More than the new campaign, WordSlayer will add almost a hundred Legendary items to the game. It also comes with a new endgame called Trial of Tarya Gratar. Moreover, it adds a new progression path, which lets players improve their characters using two options.

What does the expansion offer?

Outriders is a third-person online shooter game that garnered praise for its fun and dynamic gameplay. Its fans also liked how it avoided micro-transactions, daily login bonuses, and other predatory multiplayer mechanics. Sadly, its players find the story and characters lacking. Once the campaign and endgame are completed, there is not much reason to play it again. With this, the game was hardly a commercial or critical success.

Outriders WordSlayer aims to change that. As mentioned, it is one of the expansion packs for the shooter game—the biggest to date—bringing new content. In terms of gameplay, there is not much difference. However, as noted, you will explore a new area of Enoch and face a new boss villain. Like the original game, you can play the game solo, although it is designed to be a cooperative game.

This expansion also lets players dive into a new endgame called Trial of Tarya Gratar, where they will face an ever-changing group of enemies. More than boss runs, the endgame has areas called Troves. You can wander off the beaten path and take on potential enemies. Players can tag in an existing character for the expansion. However, they can also create a new level 30 character on the spot.

Is it worth it?

Overall, Outriders WordSlayer might be the needed boost to give Outriders a bigger fanbase. It not only extends the original campaign of the vanilla game but also improves its system for the better. It also provides more than enough for the players to sink their teeth into. However, there won't be much change in the gameplay. Additionally, as this is an expansion, the original game is required.

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
